Cheval Blanc St Tropez

Marvel on the Med

What it is

A dreamy seafront retreat with subtly nautical rooms, a modernist waterfront pool, a three-Michelin-starred restaurant and a humming bar.

What it isn't

Lacking a spa, and this one is worth traveling for—with Guerlain products, a hammam, and a snow shower.

What we think

“Picture perfect” are the two words that come to mind when we conjure Cheval Blanc St. Tropez, and no surprise; French starchitect Jean-Michel Wilmotte, who designed portions of the Musée du Louvre and Musée d’Orsay, is the man behind the interiors here. Even the starter rooms at Cheval Blanc are nothing short of divine: each one adorned in a calming palette of cloud whites, teak blonde woods and yacht blues, with a terrace that peeps out on the Mediterranean or the Maison’s courtyard. Even at 330 square feet they don’t feel snug (thanks to that gentle Cote d’Azur breeze), but if you’re traveling en famille it may be worth upgrading to roomier digs, like the Duplex Sea Suite. The two-story hideaway has a 605-square-foot floor plan, a pair of dressing rooms, a rain shower in the spa-like bath, and two terraces that peep out on the Bay of Saint-Tropez.

You're here because

They dote on little guests as much as their parents with their teensy robes and slippers and toothsome kids menus.

The Moment

Every Michelin-starred restaurant sets your pulse racing, but there’s something ultra enchanting about a coveted three star restaurant. At La Vague d’Or, you can see why it’s earned that accolade from your first bite of bacon-wrapped rabbit with chestnut honey and rosemary foaming broth.

Restaurants & Bars

La Vague d'Or - Invites guests on a magical journey between land and sea

La Terrasse - The perfect place for a relaxed meal with dazzling views of the sea

Carte Blanche - Ambassadors orchestrate culinary experiences unpublished to surprise and delight

Le Bar - Surprising cocktails, detox refreshments and light plates in an intimate atmosphere

Location

Hugging a seafront beach in St. Tropez, about 12 blocks from Annonciade Museum—where you’ll find art from local legends like Henri Matisse and Georges Seurat in a circa 1500 chapel.
