Sculpted out of the famous volcanic cliff side, Canaves Oia Suites makes up the western portion of Canaves Oia’s dual-sided property. Refined, elegantly minimalistic and undeniably romantic, the 26 suites are expansive and quite simply, stunning. Rooms are airy, open and entirely white—with the exception of the brilliantly blue sky peeking through the windows. If you don’t want to take the elevator (the only one on the island) down to the main pool, you’re in luck. Every suite’s balcony has a private pool that faces the Aegean and because they’re thoughtfully arranged, no suite has an obstructed view. The result is simple: this is as close to paradise as we’re going to get. Guests staying at either side of the Canaves property (Hotel or Suites) are welcome to take the very short walk connecting the two. Staying on the Suites side means you're closer to the spa, gym, main pool and Petra restaurant. But everyone should make reservations for the Panorama Balcony restaurant, though—there is just one candle-lit table.

Location

On cliffs of the northwestern tip of Santorini. It’s roughly a ten-minute walk into the center of town - just far enough that the tourists are not streaming by the hotel’s entrance, but close enough that galleries and nightlife are just a stroll away. It’s just over 30 minutes to get to the international airport.
