Amalfi, Italy
Borgo Santandrea
Waterside Splendor
What it is
A brand new 45-room, clifftop respite with a private beach accessible by elevator, and lush manicured gardens.
What it isn't
Lacking anything. The private beach and jetty make it one of a kind, but amenities also include three restaurants, two bars and a fitness center.
What we think
When you dream of the Amalfi Coast, you’re dreaming of this: a hotel perched high on craggy seafront bluffs. Guest rooms are tailored and traditional in crisp whites and Mediterranean blues, with marble-lined bathrooms and rounded windows that overlook the water and flowers dancing in the breeze. We love that everything from the hand-made tile to the Murano glass details to the furniture was made in Italy and designed by Nikita Bettoni, with piped edging that lends a nautical feel to each space. To spread your wings a bit, we recommend booking the much larger Executive Suite—a roomier 807 square feet, with a separate living area and deep soaking tub in the bathroom.
You're here because
You often like to hole up in your hotel, and this property has three restaurants on-site, including Alici, on a covered waterfront patio.
The Moment
You never thought you could feel like you own a sliver of the Amalfi Coast, but when your hotel has its own private beach—accessed by descending nearly 300 feet in one of their eight elevators—you do. This morning on the sand it’s just you, the waves, and the sun, living your best lives.
