Downtown, Los Angeles
Conrad Los Angeles
High Rise, High Life
What it is
A skyscraping 305-room new hotel with a sceney rooftop pool, high-tech spa and restaurants by none other than Star Chef José Andrés.
What it isn't
Boldly colorful. The hotel’s interiors are a serene palette of natural hues, including blonde woods and herb greens.
What we think
It takes a lot to turn heads in the city that invented Hollywood. But Conrad Los Angeles has created instant buzz since the moment it broke ground, thanks to its sculptural architecture, 16,000 square foot rooftop pool terrace, and restaurants even local Los Angelinos are dying to get into, thanks to Chef José Andrés at the helm. But even if you were to check in and ensconce yourself in your room for a few days, you’d be happy; each one comes with floor to ceiling glass windows, custom paneled white oak wood walls, and perks like built-in wardrobes and Nespresso machines. For a prime view, book a One Bedroom Suite; they’re set on the 12th-28th floors and have separate living rooms within their 753-square-foot floor plans.
You're here because
You’ve been obsessed with Chef Andrés ever since he won his Humanitarian of the Year award. The fact that his dishes here include sea urchin gazpacho with caviar is just a bonus.
The Moment
You’re exhausted from a day of cultural exploits, and there’s no better salve than this tech-forward spa. On your treatment to-do list? A rose quartz “Goddess facial” designed by celeb esthetician Angela Caglia that uses LED light therapy, sonic lifting and microcurrents to get you red-carpet ready.
