Rosewood Sao Paulo
Designing a Legend
What it is
Opening this year, a historic high-rise shrouded in vertical gardens by Jean Nouvel, with 151 guest rooms by Philippe Starck.
What it isn't
Relying on its (admittedly fabulous) looks. The hotel also has six bars and restaurants, an Asaya spa, and a rooftop swimming pool.
What we think
Freshly arrived on São Paulo’s hotel scene in 2021, Rosewood São Paulo is everything travel dreams are made of. Tucked within a one time maternity hospital, the property is sure to be an icon from the moment it opens its doors, thanks to the boldfaced names associated with the project and the showstopping hotel itself. Want to indulge at cocktail hour? Stop by the caviar lounge. Desperate for pampering? Book a treatment at the six-room Asaya wellness spa, or flit between the two pools (one of them glimmering on the rooftop). This being Rosewood, expect amenities galore, including guest-use of an adjacent music studio and a screening room that feels like your own private movie theater.
You're here because
You may not have a green thumb, but you’re obsessed with gardens. Staying in one sounds like a dream sprung to life.
The Moment
After a sweltering afternoon maxing out your credit card (hey, it’s vacay), you treat yourself to the ultimate reboot: a twilight swim in the hotel’s pristine rooftop swimming pool, overlooking the twinkling cityscape.
Restaurants & Bars
Rosewood São Paulo will offer six distinctive restaurants and bars, offering a variety of fine-dining and chic entertainment options. To be announced.
Location
Smack dab in São Paulo’s Cidade Matarazzo, a lush, park-like setting that’s taking over the area’s storied early 1900’s architecture. Bonus: it’s just a 33 minute drive from GRU Airport.
