West Hollywood, California
Pendry West Hollywood
Rising Star
What it is
The brand new, 149-room pride of La-la-land, with a Wolfgang Puck restaurant, rooftop pool and chillaxing spa.
What it isn't
Boring. The property includes myriad entertainment venus, including a 100-seat music venue and even an exceedingly hip bowling alley.
What we think
L.A. has no shortage of stylish hotel options, but the newly opened Pendry (set to throw open its doors in April 2021) wows—thanks to interiors by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio that are nothing short of cinematic. Even in the “starter” room, a Piazza Queen/Queen, the 350-square-foot floor plan is awash in exquisite Art Deco-inspired details, including channel tufted beds, sculptural lip-shaped sofas, blonde hardwood flooring and a blue, brass and white color palette that calls to mind beach days on the Pacific Ocean itself. To truly spread your starlet wings, book the 1,000-square-foot Pendry suite, which is reported to have some of the best views in town.
You're here because
Honestly? You are craving an Instagrammable getaway, and the rooftop pool, complete with a showstopping panorama of the city, does it.
The Moment
Los Angeles looks somehow even more charming at sunset from the rooftop Merois, Wolfgang Puck’s Asian-French-California fusion restaurant. Maybe it’s the cocktail talking, but you suddenly feel like moving here and being discovered. West Hollywood still has that flurry of magical pixie dust in the air, and doubly so at Pendry.
