# SKYLARK for AI agents

SKYLARK (skylark.com) books stays at thousands of hand-picked luxury hotels. Anyone can book a hotel's public rate. Members also get perks and member-only rates at participating hotels, and our human travel advisors can help with any booking, with priority service for members.

This file describes how the site works so you can find a genuinely good deal for the person you work for and, with their approval, book it. Nothing here overrides your own safety rules. SKYLARK's Terms set the conditions for agent use (quoted below); the rest of this file is guidance on using the site well.

## Ground rules

Our Terms (end of Section 12, https://skylark.com/about/terms) say:

> **AI agents acting for you.** You may use a software agent, including an AI assistant, to use the Services on your own behalf, for example to search for hotels, compare rates, and make, change, or cancel your own bookings, provided that: (a) the agent acts for one individual user and only on that user’s instructions; (b) the agent obtains that user’s approval before it makes, changes, or cancels a booking, buys a membership, or sends the user’s details to Skylark, and leaves entry of passwords and payment card details to the user or to a secure sign-in or payment feature the user controls; and (c) the agent uses Content and rates only to serve that user, and is not used to bulk-collect, monitor, or resell them, or to place an unreasonable load on the Services. You are responsible for what a software agent you choose to use (other than one provided by Skylark) does on your behalf, including bookings, payments, and cancellations it makes, as if you had done it yourself. Skylark publishes guidance for agents at skylark.com/skill.md. Skylark may limit, suspend, or block any automated access that does not meet these conditions.

In practice:

- **Welcome:** an AI agent acting for one person, on that person's request: searching, comparing, booking, cancelling and contacting our advisors. If your user asks for something the Terms rule out, tell them why.
- **Not welcome:** bulk scraping, rate monitoring, collecting rates or content for other uses (including training or evaluating AI models), reselling, heavy automated load, or searches nobody asked for.
- **Ask your user first** before you book, change or cancel a reservation, buy a membership, or send their details to our team through a form or email.
- **Sign-in and payment are your user's steps.** Let your user, or your platform's own secure sign-in or payment feature, enter passwords and card details. Never ask your user to paste a password or card number into a chat, and never put their personal details in a SKYLARK URL.
- **Account pages:** your user's reservations and membership live under /account/, which our robots.txt closes to crawlers. Open them in a browser only when your user asks, after they have signed in.
- **Quote only what the page shows** for prices, perks and cancellation terms, and read the notes below about lines that can mislead. While your user is signed out, don't name a hotel's perks from any other source.

## What SKYLARK is

- **Hotels:** thousands of luxury hotels worldwide, each one chosen by our team, with our own editorial on hotel pages ("What We Think", "What It Isn't"). https://skylark.com/sitemap.xml lists every destination and hotel page.
- **Money:** SKYLARK prices everything in US dollars, and cards are charged in US dollars. The site can display another currency instead, as an approximate conversion (from the user's saved default after sign-in, a choice made earlier in that browser, or a `currency=` parameter on hotel pages), so check the symbol before quoting. On a hotel page, `&currency=USD` shows dollars.
- **Who charges what:** SKYLARK doesn't charge for the room. The hotel charges the card under the rate's own terms: some rates take a deposit or full prepayment, on the hotel's schedule; otherwise the card guarantees the room and the hotel charges it at the stay. The hotel's own confirmation can show the room rate in its local currency; the charge is still in US dollars. On a hotel booking, SKYLARK's only charge is a membership, if your user buys one.

### Membership

| Tier | Price | What it adds |
|---|---|---|
| Guest | Free | A SKYLARK account, public rates and limited advisor help. |
| Friend | $250 a year | Member rates and perks at participating hotels, priority advisor service. The only tier sold online. |
| Best Friend | $1,000 a year | Invitation only, starting at $25,000 of qualifying spend within 12 months (Terms Sections 1.3 and 3). Adds 10% back in property credits, a dedicated advisor and one SKYLARK-funded room upgrade a year. |

Participating hotels are "Friends With Amenities" (FWA) properties. The perks come with a rate, not the hotel: a member who books the "With Perks" rate typically gets daily breakfast for two, a property credit of $100 or more per stay, priority for upgrades and early check-in or late checkout, and VIP recognition. Perks vary by hotel and can change. Upgrades, early check-in and late checkout depend on the hotel's availability and aren't guaranteed, unless a line in the rate's own perk list promises it (for example "Guaranteed room upgrade"); quote that line as written, conditions included. The Best Friend upgrade also depends on availability at check-in (Terms Section 5).

A paid membership renews automatically each year on the sign-up date and charges the card on file. Your user can cancel at any time on https://skylark.com/account/membership or by emailing support@skylark.com. Cancelling at least 24 hours before the renewal date avoids the next year's charge, and benefits last until the end of the paid year. Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. California residents can cancel for a refund by emailing support@skylark.com before midnight of the third business day after signing up, as long as no advisor consulting has been used.

## Before you start

- **Ask whether your user is a SKYLARK member.** If they are, have them sign in first (see "Signing in"). Signed out, the site treats them as a non-member: member rates would add a new $250 membership at checkout, last-minute member prices stay hidden, hotel pages show a general perks list, and a hotel with only members-only last-minute rates for the dates looks sold out.
- **Settle the stay:** dates, guests (1 to 5 adults) and rooms (1 to 5). The site prices adults only (see "Talking to our advisors" for children).
- **Optional tracking:** if you can, add `utm_source` set to your product's name as one lowercase word (for example `muse`, `instinct`, `claude` or `chatgpt`) and `utm_medium=ai_agent` to the first SKYLARK link you open in a tab. They carry no personal data and tell us the visit came from an AI agent. Don't reuse tracking parameters from other sites' links.

## Quick start

1. Open the results page for a city with all four stay values set:
   `https://skylark.com/destinations/paris/hotels?check_in=YYYY-MM-DD&check_out=YYYY-MM-DD&guest_count=2&room_count=1&utm_source=<your-product>&utm_medium=ai_agent`
2. Wait until "LOOKING FOR MORE HOTELS?" appears below the last card and no card says "Loading…" (about 30 seconds, sometimes longer). Until that line appears, hotels are still being added. In a window narrower than 1000px the list sits in a sheet over a map and cards never say "Loading…": tap "List" (accessible name "Show list"), scroll to the end for the same line, and wait until every card shows a price, "Best rate unavailable" or "No availability at this hotel".
3. Shortlist three to five hotels by nightly price and member value (sort by "Price: Low → High" if cost matters most). Copy each shortlisted card's link, then open those links one after another. Going back to the results page reloads every price.
4. Read the rate lines, work out the true cost of each option (see "Judging a deal"), and show your user a short comparison.
5. When your user picks an option, go to checkout and get their final yes there (see "Booking").

## Finding hotels

### Results pages

- **URL:** `/destinations/<path>/hotels?check_in=YYYY-MM-DD&check_out=YYYY-MM-DD&guest_count=G&room_count=R`
- **Dates:** real calendar dates, check-in today or later, check-out after it. A missing, past or out-of-order date makes the page list hotels without prices, which can look finished. Check every date before you build the URL.
- **Counts:** `guest_count` and `room_count` must be whole numbers from 1 to 5. If one is missing or out of range, every card stays on "Loading…" and the bar still shows "2 Guests, 1 Room"; a value like `two` shows "Something went wrong". Fix the URL rather than waiting or reloading.
- **Short links** such as `/destinations/paris/hotels`, `/destinations/london/hotels`, `/destinations/new-york-city/hotels`, `/destinations/maui/hotels`, `/destinations/tuscany/hotels` and `/destinations/maldives/hotels` redirect to the full path after a moment. A short link works when its last word is a place that holds hotels directly.
- **Countries and US states** usually need the full path: `/destinations/france/hotels` shows "An unexpected error occured" / "Hotels failed to load", and refreshing won't help. Full paths look like `/destinations/europe/france/paris` and `/destinations/north-america/united-states/new-york/new-york-city`; find them in https://skylark.com/sitemap.xml (add `/hotels` to a country or region entry).
- **Prefer cities.** A results page with more than 70 hotels, such as a whole country, loads no prices until the map is zoomed in to 70 or fewer hotels ("Zoom map for rates"). Open a city inside it instead.
- **The search bar works too.** Type a place under LOCATION, pick a row, choose dates, set GUESTS & ROOMS if the party isn't 2 guests in 1 room (press DONE, or the change is discarded), then use the round search button at the right end of the bar. It has no text label, but its link already holds the finished URL.

### Reading the results

- Each card shows the hotel name, an average nightly price before taxes and fees, and often a member value line: "$X+ in member value" for perks, or "$X in member value" (no plus) when the price shown is a member-only discount. Card figures are for shortlisting only and can differ from the hotel page, so quote the hotel page.
- A card's price can be a members-only rate. The price anyone can book is the "Standard" line on the hotel page.
- A card that says "No availability" ("No availability at this hotel" in a narrow window) has no rate this visitor can see for the dates; for a non-member, that includes a hotel with only members-only last-minute rates.
- The default order is member value, highest first. To re-sort, use the round sliders icon at the top right (accessible name "Filters", on screens at least 1000px wide): Sort by Member Value, Price: Low → High or Price: High → Low, plus the display currency. Sort options stay greyed out under "Waiting for all prices to load" until every price is in; if that never clears, compare the cards yourself.
- Clicking a card opens the hotel in an overlay while the address bar keeps the search page. Inside it, Escape works like Back, even when you only meant to close a popup: from checkout it returns to the room list and discards what you entered, and from the room list it closes the hotel view. Open the card's link address instead.

### The Members' List

`/members-list` lists hotels that hold some kind of member deal (perks, member-only rates or last-minute rates), ranked by member value:

`/members-list?check_in=YYYY-MM-DD&check_out=YYYY-MM-DD&guest_count=2&room_count=1&location_path=europe~france~paris`

- `location_path` is optional and must be the full path from the continent down, with `~` in place of each `/` (`europe~france~paris`, or `europe~france` for a country). A short name such as `paris` matches nothing.
- Without stay values the list assumes 1 guest, arriving in a week, for 5 nights. Set them yourself.
- Chips: All, "Perks & amenities" and "Last-minute rates". Under All, a hotel can appear even when its deal doesn't apply to your dates, so confirm member value on the hotel page. Last-minute rates are member-only discounts found only for stays that check out within 30 days. A non-member sees only those that also have a rate open to them, at that rate.
- About ten hotels load at a time. Grey placeholder cards mean hotels are still loading; wait until they're gone. "Show more hotels" adds about ten more.

## Reading a hotel page

**URL:** `/destinations/<path>/hotels/<hotel-slug>?check_in=YYYY-MM-DD&check_out=YYYY-MM-DD&guest_count=2&room_count=1`

- **Rates load after the page.** Wait until rate buttons appear (accessible names like "$1,234 per night · Standard") or the page says "No availability for these dates". If it says "Failed to fetch hotel rooms", reload once; if it fails again, tell your user.
- **Check the stay.** If a stay value in the URL is missing or invalid, the page quietly uses a default instead (both dates reset to 30 days out for 3 nights; 2 guests; 1 room). Confirm the DATES, GUESTS and ROOMS pill before quoting anything.
- **Rate lines.** Rooms are listed by their lowest visible price, which can be a member rate. Each room card has up to three priced lines, plus, for a non-member, sometimes a blurred one (see below):

| Line | What it is | Who can book it |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | The cheapest public rate SKYLARK found for this room, which may be a sale or advance-purchase rate | Anyone |
| With Perks | The member rate with the best perks | Members, or anyone adding a Friend membership at checkout |
| Member Discount | A lower member-only price, without perks | Members, or anyone adding a Friend membership at checkout |

- **A blurred price is not a quote.** A non-member (signed out, or signed in to a free Guest account) may also see a "Member Discount" line with a blurred price, named "Members-only last-minute rate may be available, price shown to members · Member Discount". It only previews members-only last-minute rates: there is no price to quote or compare. Its open panel says "up to 50% off", and its "Continue & Become a Friend" button opens the membership sign-up, not checkout. Signed in as a member, every Member Discount line is a real rate.
- **"Perks worth $X on this stay"** is not a price. It is SKYLARK's estimate of what the room's With Perks rate is worth to a member over the stay: the value of its perks, plus the price gap when that rate is cheaper than the public rate. The With Perks total already reflects that gap.
- **Which perks?** Only a signed-in visitor (any account, even a free one) sees the rate's own perks with their values. Logged out, the panel always shows a general list, the same at every hotel, whatever its heading ("Members Get Perks Like These", or "Friend benefits included"), so don't present it as this hotel's list. A "Member rate discount" line in a rate's perk list is a price saving the total already includes, not an extra perk.
- **Open a line to see the details:** the "<N>-night total · incl. taxes & fees" (per room), the refund status and a button. A line sold only as refundable shows "Free cancellation until <date>" under its price on the card instead of in the panel. The button reads "Continue", or "Continue Without Perks" on Standard when the room also has With Perks. For a non-member on With Perks or Member Discount it reads "Continue & Become a Friend", and checkout then opens with the $250 membership selected.
- **Refundable or not:** when a rate comes both ways at different prices, a "Non-refundable" / "Refundable" switch appears under its price, usually starting on Non-refundable. The "+$X" beside one option is the difference in the stay total for one room, not per night. If your user needs free cancellation, choose a line that shows "Free cancellation until <date>" (in its open panel, or under its price).
- **Read the panel you just opened.** Clicking an open line closes it, one card may already be open when the page loads, and page text can still hold totals from closed panels. Use the accessibility tree or a screenshot.
- **Members may see a popup after Continue.** "Heads up, you’re about to leave your amenities at the door." appears when a member continues on Standard in a room that has With Perks: tap "Standard Rate, no amenities" to keep Standard, or "Friend With Amenities Rate" to switch. At hotels outside the program, "Lovely hotel. Sadly, not one of our Friends." offers "Continue without amenities". Closing either popup (its × or a click outside it) cancels the selection.
- **Hotels outside the program** show "Not a Friends With Amenities property" above the rooms when SKYLARK can confirm it; member perks and member rates don't apply there. A missing notice doesn't prove a hotel takes part, but a With Perks line does.
- **No availability:** "Check upcoming dates" tries the same stay 1 to 4 weeks later. Use it only if your user's dates are flexible.

## Judging a deal

1. **Compare stay totals.** Nightly figures are averages before taxes and fees; the panel's "incl. taxes & fees" total is the number to compare. With more than one room it is per room, so multiply by the number of rooms. If your user asks about local taxes or resort fees at the hotel, our advisors can confirm them with the property.
2. **Compare like with like:** a comparable room and the same cancellation terms. Check the Standard line on the first few rooms before calling one room the cheapest.
3. **Name the perks, not just a dollar figure,** but only from the rate's own list. If you can only see the general list, say the exact perks show once your user signs in.
4. **Weigh Standard against With Perks.** With Perks can cost the same as Standard (then the perks are extra value for members), more, or less. Signed in as a member, your user may see no Standard line, because it's hidden when a no-perks rate costs the same as With Perks or a cheaper member rate replaces it.
5. **For a user without a membership,** compare the Standard total with the member-rate total plus $250, then weigh the perks they'll actually use. Don't subtract "Perks worth $X": it can include a saving the member total already reflects. If your user expects more stays at participating hotels within a year, the membership applies to those too; it also renews automatically and isn't refundable except as the Terms allow.
6. **Against other sites:** we don't price-match or guarantee the lowest price. Compare the whole package, including breakfast, credits and cancellation terms, not just the nightly price.

**A membership is its own decision.** Buy one only after a separate, explicit yes. Approving a hotel is not approval to buy a membership.

## Signing in

- Signing in is your user's step. Open the menu (the three-line icon at the top right, with no visible text; accessible name "Menu") and choose "Log in". Then let your user, or your platform's password manager, fill the "Email address" and "Password" boxes and press "LOGIN". Close the "You're logged in!" message with "Start Exploring".
- Google sign-in is your user's decision and their click. Suggest it only if their membership is under that exact Google address, since any other address signs in to, or creates, a different account without that membership. If a Google sign-in prompt pops up on its own, close it.
- Leave creating accounts and setting passwords to your user.
- **Signing out:** a sign-in lasts up to 30 days in that browser. When the task is done, ask your user whether to stay signed in; in a hosted, cloud or shared browser, sign out unless they say otherwise (menu, then "Sign out").

## Booking

Checkout replaces the room list on the same page address, so use the page content, not the URL, to tell where you are.

1. **Membership choice.** Because member rates need a membership, checkout opens with "Yes, add SKYLARK Friend membership" selected when a non-member continues on one. Keep it only if your user said yes to the membership. If they said no, the cleanest path is "Rooms and Rates" (top of checkout) and the room's Standard line. Choosing "No, thank you" here instead switches the booking to the public rate, which can change the total, perks and refund terms. If a "Members-only rate" notice appears, that room needs a membership; pick another room.
2. **"You're missing out" card.** "Switch to Member Rate" switches to a member rate (the price and refund terms can change) and adds the $250 membership; use it only with your user's approval. "No thanks, continue with the public rate" keeps everything as it is.
3. **Cancellation.** Check the "Cancellation" box shows the refund terms your user wants.
4. **Traveler details.** "I'm booking for myself" is selected by default; to book for someone else, choose "I'm booking for someone else". "Your Details" is always your user's own name, email and phone, even when booking for someone else. It is prefilled when your user is signed in; signed out it starts blank, so fill it: that email gets the SKYLARK account, any membership and the confirmation. When booking for someone else, also fill the "Primary Traveler" section; the stay is reserved under that name (otherwise under "Your Details"). FIRST NAME and LAST NAME take up to 20 characters each; for PHONE NUMBER, set the country flag first, then type the local number. If the hotel has a loyalty program, LOYALTY NUMBER (OPTIONAL) takes the guest's number (under "Primary Traveler" when booking for someone else) and is sent with the booking. An error under one of these fields doesn't stop the booking, so check every value with your user.
5. **Payment is your user's step:** use your platform's own payment feature or hand the browser to your user. Cards only. Choose a saved card by clicking its row (accessible name like "Visa ending in 4242"; none is preselected), or "Add New". A new card needs a billing address (there is no state field) plus CARD NUMBER, EXPIRATION (MM / YY), SECURITY CODE and NAME ON CARD, each in its own card field.
6. **Stop and confirm.** Show your user exactly what checkout now shows: hotel, room, dates, guests and rooms; the "Cancellation" box; the "Hotel Total" (all rooms); the "Membership Dues" card if there is one, plus its terms, which the card doesn't show ($250 a year in US dollars, or less after a promo code or referral discount, charged now by SKYLARK, renews yearly unless cancelled, non-refundable except as the Terms allow, and stays active even if the hotel booking fails); the traveler name and email; the card; and the line above Book, which says booking accepts the cancellation policy and SKYLARK's Terms & Privacy (https://skylark.com/about/terms, including binding arbitration). If signed out, tell them booking creates a SKYLARK account for that email if there isn't one. Press "Book" only after an explicit yes to exactly that. If a membership is being added, your user must be present, because their bank may show a verification window that only the cardholder can complete.
7. **Press "Book" once and wait.** If checkout is still showing afterward with a message (such as "Select a card or add a new one", "We couldn't process your card details", "We couldn't verify this email" or an error under a card or billing field), nothing was booked or charged (if signed out, the SKYLARK account for that email may already exist): fix it with your user and press Book again. If Book seems to do nothing, saved cards are still loading; wait (if "Unable to load cards" shows, reload and start checkout again). If a "You May Be Missing Out" window opens, the email in "Your Details" already has an active membership and nothing is booked yet. The member rate needs that member signed in: prefer "Log In" and hand sign-in to your user (if the window says the account has no password yet, "Email Me a Link" sends a set-password email; otherwise "Forgot your password?" is on the sign-in form), then review checkout with them again before pressing Book. "Continue as Guest" books nothing by itself: it switches checkout to the standard rate so your user can review its price and cancellation terms, and only the next Book press books it, so get your user's approval of that rate first. For a members-only room the window offers only "Log In". If your user bought the membership in this same checkout, it may offer to keep the member rate or "Switch to Member Rate"; either way, review the price shown before pressing Book. The booking is under way once the heading reads "Confirming Your Booking", and there is no review screen after that. Don't reload or go back until the heading changes to one of those in step 8.
8. **Read the result.** Go by the main heading, not the small "Could Not Confirm" line above it, which every failure shows. The line under "We sincerely apologize" gives the detail.
   - "Your Stay is Confirmed" with a Reference code: done.
   - "Your Booking Is Pending": the hotel hasn't confirmed yet and our team will follow up. **Don't book again.**
   - "We Couldn't Complete Your Booking": nothing was booked, and the page says the stay wasn't charged (and, if a membership was being added, whether that charge went through). The detail gives the reason, such as a card problem, a members-only rate, "We couldn't reach the booking system, so nothing was booked." or "The booking system didn't accept this booking, so nothing was booked."; fix it with your user before trying again. If it starts "We couldn't confirm this rate with the hotel at the price shown", try once more at most, then offer to email support@skylark.com.
   - "We Couldn't Confirm Your Booking": the booking may have gone through (the detail reads, for example, "We didn't get a clear answer from the booking system." or "We lost the connection before the booking system answered."). **Don't book again;** see step 9.
9. **Never retry blind.** If the outcome is unclear, ask your user to watch their inbox, including spam, for "Skylark - <Hotel> is confirmed" or "Skylark - <Hotel> is pending". It is sent in the background and can take a few minutes. Either email means a booking exists, and no email is not proof that nothing was booked, so check with support@skylark.com before any new attempt.

If a membership is charged but the hotel booking then fails, the membership stays active for your user's next booking. Tell your user right away; support@skylark.com can help.

## After booking

- **Email:** the booking email goes out right after checkout, from "Skylark" <agent@skylark.com>: "Skylark - <Hotel> is confirmed (<reference>)" if the hotel confirmed on the spot, or "Skylark - <Hotel> is pending". It goes to the "Your Details" email or, when booking for someone who already has a SKYLARK account under the "Primary Traveler" email, to them with your user copied. A pending booking gets no automatic "is confirmed" email later; our team finishes it and writes separately with the hotel's confirmation number. Replies reach our team.
- **First-time bookers** also get "Skylark Account Activation" to set a password. They need it, or Google sign-in with the same email, to see reservations online.
- **Reservations:** https://skylark.com/account/reservations (signed in), in UPCOMING, PAST and CANCELED tabs. Each card shows the SKYLARK reference under CONFIRMATION as "# <code>" (the email's "SKYLARK REFERENCE NUMBER"; the email's separate "CONFIRMATION NUMBER" is the hotel's own code, or "PENDING" until the hotel confirms) and a status line: "Free cancellation until <date>", "Cannot be cancelled", "Checked In", "Checked Out" or "Canceled". A pending booking looks like a confirmed one here, so treat it as pending until an "is confirmed" email or our team's follow-up arrives.
- **Cancelling (with approval):** "Modify reservation", then "Cancel reservation". A booking that can be cancelled online opens "Cancel this reservation?", which states the deadline ("Free cancellation until <date>."); confirm with your user before pressing its red "Cancel reservation". Success shows "Reservation cancelled. Updating your reservations…" and the booking moves to CANCELED. If it says "We weren’t able to cancel this reservation", don't press again; reload, check the CANCELED tab, then offer to contact our advisors. Deposits and prepayments follow the hotel's cancellation policy, so don't promise a refund.
- **Bookings that can't be cancelled online** (including any past its free-cancellation date): "Cancel reservation" opens a contact form headed "Let's cancel that." instead, with the request already written (it ends with "Thank you.", which doesn't mean it was sent). Nothing is sent until you press "Send message" (with your user's approval; Enter in the Name or Email box also sends it), and nothing is cancelled until an advisor confirms.
- **"Cannot be cancelled", or check-in day has arrived:** online changes won't work. Tell your user and offer to contact our advisors; any refund follows the hotel's policy.
- **Changes** (dates, room, guests) can't be made online. "Modify reservation", then "Change reservation", opens a message to our advisors; include the SKYLARK reference, hotel, dates and the exact change.
- **Special requests** (anniversary, connecting rooms, early arrival): reply to the confirmation email or write to support@skylark.com with the SKYLARK reference.
- **Loyalty numbers:** if your user didn't enter one at checkout, they can give it at check-in.

## Talking to our advisors

- **Email:** support@skylark.com for bookings, membership and anything else.
- **Contact form:** menu, then "Contact us" (Name, Email, Message, then "Send message"). The form says our team will be in touch within 2 business days. The Message box can open with text left from an earlier form in the same visit, so read it before typing and send only what your user approved. Escape or a click outside the form closes it and discards what you typed.
- **Children or larger groups at one hotel:** use the contact form or email support@skylark.com (with your user's approval), giving the hotel, dates, number of adults and rooms, and each child's age. These don't need the trip-planning service; our advisors can help price and book the stay.
- **Trip planning:** https://skylark.com/plan-a-trip is a paid member service for involved trips such as multi-stop itineraries and safaris. Planning starts from $550 per trip for two, and joining takes $250 off the fee on the first trip; a Best Friend should ask their dedicated advisor how planning works for them. The form asks for name, email, phone, where, roughly when, who's going and the trip budget; the "Start planning" button at the bottom stays greyed out until those are filled ("Start planning a trip" at the top only scrolls to the form). It sends your user's details to our team, so ask first.
- **Forms:** fill only the labeled fields you can see, typing each value rather than accepting autofill (signed in, some may be prefilled; check those rather than typing over them). A send worked only when the whole form is replaced by "Thank you." followed by "We’ve got your note" (contact) or "We’ve got your trip" (trip planning); text inside the Message box doesn't count, and no confirmation email follows. While the button reads "Sending", wait. A message starting "Sorry" means it didn't go through; try once more, then offer to email the details to support@skylark.com.

## Etiquette

- **Every price is checked live** with the hotel's reservation system, and a results page of up to 70 hotels checks every one of them. Load each results page once and let it finish, open no more than about ten hotel pages per request, and don't cycle through date combinations or keep reloading.
- **If something here is wrong or out of date,** tell your user. Agent developers can report it to support@skylark.com.

## Page mechanics

- Many labels are shown in capitals by styling, so the screen may say "BOOK" where the page text says "Book". Match text without regard to case, and allow for curly apostrophes (’).
- Find form fields by the label shown just above each one (the sign-in boxes are the exception, noted above).
