The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort

What We Think

You know service is good when butlers are built right into the hotel’s branding—as they are with St. Regis. But here, that famous level of VIP pampering goes even beyond butlers themselves. Guests can book their stay in everything from garden villas with private pools to overwater villas (also with their own pools, natch, plus egg-shaped soaking tubs and furnished terraces that sit right on the turquoise Indian Ocean.) Whichever you choose, each one is a honeymooner’s dream sprung to life—and comes with a Bang & Olufsen BeoVision entertainment system, zippy wi-fi, rainforest showers and downy pillow-top beds…not that you came here to sleep. To truly indulge, get the Caroline Astor Estate, where a 220-foot-long pool, outdoor shower and separate living quarters await.

What It Is

A private island resort with 77 villas, pristine white beaches, glass-clear lagoons and a coral reef, a spa lofted over the water…the list goes on.

What It Isn't

Nobody comes here to just lay on the sand, when activities on-site include glass-bottom kayak tours, deep-sea fishing, yachting, and snorkeling, to name just a few.

You're Here Because

The resort’s six restaurant options each look like they were pulled from a screen saver, thanks to prime panorama’s of surrounding seas. You’re looking forward to sipping a St. Regis Bloody Mary overlooking the coral reef at the Whale Bar.

The Moment

The only thing more transcendent than a spa day? One set directly atop the Indian Ocean itself. You take a sip of champagne and dip a toe in their Blue Hole pool…one of the largest hydrotherapy pools in the nation. Paradise found.
