InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort

What We Think

Every design element was carefully curated at this resort where more is definitely more—and less is a bore. Take the daybeds lining the pool, which look more akin to birds nests than anything standard issue. Or the artful soaking tubs in every guest room, each one an egg shaped portal to bathing bliss. We love the in-room color palettes, which summon the cloud whites and turquoise sea blues outside your floor to ceiling windows, and the fact that each room option is positively massive. 1 King Bed Classic has a whopping 527 square foot floor plan complete with a sitting area; rain-shower-equipped bath; and private terrace for taking in the salty sea breeze as you sip your green tea. To sprawl out even further, try the 1 King Bed 1 Bedroom Residence Ocean View for a separate living room and workable small kitchen ideal for heating up last night’s leftover Phở.

What It Is

An expansive 459-room oceanfront resort with seven buzzing restaurants and bars, a ginormous award-winning spa, and serene infinity pool overlooking the beach.

What It Isn't

Phoning it in. Guests are pampered with a host of optional perks, including butler service, nannies and sports trainers.

You're Here Because

You love to check in and then completely unplug, which is easy to do in a resort with so many dining options to choose from—including a sea shack on the sand with grilled pineapple and locally made honeycomb ice cream.

The Moment

Honestly, you weren’t expecting to find the most authentic Vietnamese food of your trip at your resort, but you hadn’t yet dined at Sora & Umi. Tonight, the Phu Quoc coconut palm heart salad with tiger prawns and pork has your heart…and instantly made your decision to come for more tomorrow.
