Floor to ceiling glass windows and gleaming exposed wood ceiling beams make each room feel like a bit of an art installation, but the expertly stocked minibar and wine fridge (plus thick cotton robes) will remind you you’re here to Live It Up, all caps.

For kids. This is an adults-only retreat, and just as serene as you might hope.

The resort champions sustainable and local dining; all the meat on the menu came from the region, and the seafood was just caught in nearby bays.
