Bringing a crowd? Consider booking the Beachfront Villa Estate, which sleeps up to 14 guests and has both rainforest and sea views. And yes, before you ask, each room type has both air-conditioning and fans—the definition of a cool time.

The island is a 60 minute flight, 60 minute drive, and 15 minute boat ride from Panama City’s Tocumen International Airport…and the schlep is totally worth it. (Plus, hotel staff are happy to arrange the jaunt.)
