The Venice Venice Hotel

What We Think

Masterminded by Francesca and Alessandro Gallo (the creative visionaries behind Golden Goose), Venice Venice introduces "Post-Venetianity"—a philosophy that honors the city's ancient trading heritage while aggressively pushing it into the 21st century. Set directly on the water near the Rialto Bridge, the 13th-century stone facade opens into an interior of dark moody corridors, brutalist concrete accents, custom leather, and museum-caliber contemporary artwork. The hotel operates as both a luxury hideaway and an immersive art gallery. The tension between medieval architectural bones and edgy, conceptual art creates an electrifying atmosphere, backed by private water-gate arrivals and a deeply cool, insider energy.

What It Is

A radical, high-design metamorphosis of Palazzo Ca’ da Mosto—the oldest 13th-century palace on the Grand Canal—where ancient Byzantine arches meet avant-garde contemporary art and rock-'n'-roll luxury.

What It Isn't

It isn't a stuffy, museum-like Venetian hotel with heavy brocade drapes, dusty Murano glass chandeliers, or predictable historical reenactments. It completely skips touristy clichés in favor of sharp, rebellious modern culture and high-concept design.

You're Here Because

You love Venice's history, but you reject its dusty tropes and crave an edgy, design-literate sanctuary. You’re here to step out of a wooden Riva boat directly into the lobby, sip wild natural wines over avant-garde art conversations, and gaze at the Rialto Bridge from a suite that feels like a private collector’s loft. Bottom line: you’re looking for a rebellious, ultra-stylish Venetian palace that trades nostalgia for cutting-edge contemporary soul.

The Moment

It’s 7:00 PM on the private balcony of your Grand Canal suite. Below, a sleek wooden water taxi cuts through the dark green water, sending gentle ripples against the 13th-century stone foundation. The setting sun casts a warm crimson glow across the arches of the nearby Rialto Bridge, while inside your room, warm ambient lighting illuminates a bold piece of modern art. You sip a bespoke, bitter-herbal cocktail, feeling completely immersed in a Venice that feels radically alive.
