Six Senses London

What We Think

Six Senses London feels like the meeting point between urban vitality and reflective quiet. The transformation of The Whiteley keeps its character intact, preserving the grand dome and arched façade while adding natural light, gardens, and spaces that encourage slowness. Interiors by AvroKO reference the building’s early 20th-century style with a modern, tactile palette of brass, stone, and soft neutrals. The heart of the experience is the Six Senses Spa, a destination in its own right, featuring a 65-foot indoor pool, vaulted ceilings, and an Alchemy Bar where guests can create personalized blends. The hotel’s social space, Six Senses Place, is designed to feel like a private members club that actually welcomes connection, with shared tables, open kitchens, and music curated to match the hour. Every detail suggests an intention to slow guests down without detaching them from the city’s current. It feels like a stay that prioritizes balance rather than indulgence.

What It Is

Six Senses London is the brand’s debut in the United Kingdom, opening within the historic Whiteley building in Bayswater, West London. The project transforms the former white-stucco emporium into a wellness-inflected hotel and residence space.

What It Isn't

It is not a brash new skyscraper or a hotel that tries to outshine the city. It does not erase the Whiteley’s history but rather revives it through care and craftsmanship.

You're Here Because

You want a London stay that allows you to breathe. You appreciate beauty with depth and design that considers both heritage and purpose. You enjoy energy when you seek it and quiet when you crave it. You like to leave a hotel feeling not just rested but restored.

The Moment

The afternoon light filters through the restored dome, painting shadows across the marble floors. You find a seat by the courtyard, tea in hand, while the hum of the open kitchen blends with soft conversation. It is London outside, but within these walls the air feels slower, warmer, and entirely your own.
