Delano Miami Beach

What We Think

The icon has finally grown up. After a decade-long slumber, the 2026 Delano has traded its 90s surrealism for "soft minimalism." Ennismore and Elastic Architects have replaced the oversized "Alice in Wonderland" theatrics with organic textures and a tonal, residential warmth that feels deeply sophisticated. The legendary 1947 Art Deco bones—original terrazzo and hexagonal columns—are the stars again, but now they’re joined by a more exclusive spirit. With the addition of a private fourth-floor pool and a new Members Club, the property is reclaiming its status as a high-design sanctuary rather than a public runway. It’s still the most beautiful room in Miami, just with a lower, more confident volume.

What It Is

The high priestess of South Beach. The original "lobby-as-theater" masterpiece that turned a 1947 Art Deco tower into a global design religion.

What It Isn't

A beige, corporate beach resort or a loud, neon-soaked party house. It’s theatrical but disciplined; the Delano is where you go to be a protagonist, not just a guest.

You're Here Because

You want to witness the comeback of the decade. You loved the idea of the old Delano but grew tired of its wear-and-tear. You’re looking for that specific "Ennismore" brand of cool—polished, food-forward, and deeply intentional.

The Moment

Sitting in the reimagined Rose Bar, realizing that while the walls are still rose-hued and the martinis are still cold, the crowd is decidedly more "global collector" than "Spring Break."

Restaurants & Bars

Gigi Rigolatto: Sun-drenched Italian glamour. Spanning from the lobby to the beach club, it’s a "Mediterranean masterclass" of lobster linguine and yellow Sienna marble. Mimi Kakushi: 1920s Osaka avant-garde. An award-winning, members-only Japanese theater on the fourth floor featuring "Oriental Art Deco" and cinematic cocktails. The Rose Bar: The legendary revival. South Beach’s most famous lobby lounge returns with its signature rose-hued glow and moody, dark-wood intimacy. The Bellini Bar: Poolside aperitivo hour. A breezy, coral-stone gateway between the "Water Salon" and the Atlantic, specializing in its namesake sparkling classic.
