Emery
Emery is (ahem) banking big on style, to great effect. Guest rooms are Midcentury inspired marvels with neutral toned interiors, industrial light fixtures, blonde wood furniture and plush amenities like Keurig machines, pillow top mattresses, and zippy free wifi. We love the Studio Suites for their soaring 10’ ceilings and living areas, but if any of the Mad Men characters took a business trip to the Twin Cities, they’d undoubtedly book the top floor Marble Suite. The bathroom is like your own personal spa (fittingly, it’s lined with marble and includes a deep soaking tub and marble shower) and the separate living room is as cinematic as they come, complete with a rotary dial phone.
A dazzling 1906 former bank reborn as a glitterati-worthy hotel with a James Beard semifinalist winning chef, 24/7 gym, loaner bikes, and on-site coffee roaster and cafe.
Just for humans. Emery goes above and beyond to pamper your pets: any breed or size stays free (up to two fluffies per room, please).
You tire of planning easily, and curated hotel experiences planned by hotel staff include skyway tours and craft beer tastings.
Bellied up to the glowing bar under towering Grecian columns at Giulia, the hotel’s Italian restaurant by James Beard semifinalist Steven Brown, you feel like you’re in Europe. Maybe it’s the atmosphere…or the fact that the freshly made mozzarella is made tableside, and served with heirloom tomatoes and honey ricotta.
